Below-grade is the buried sewer line that runs under your yard from the house to the city main — that is the line our $299 + GST flat rate covers. Above-grade lines are the exposed drain pipes inside the home, such as piping running along a basement ceiling or through a crawlspace. If you want those inspected as well, additional fees apply and we'll give you the price before booking.

Our intended camera run is from the accessible interior cleanout toward the city lateral connection. Actual reach depends on access, bends, blockages and pipe condition. They can benefit from one. Plastic pipe does not rust, but construction debris, poor support, separated joints and damage can still affect the line. A sewer camera inspection checks the visible condition rather than assuming the pipe is sound because the home is newer.

No. This booking is a camera inspection with video and written findings, not drain clearing or pipe repair. If a blockage limits visibility or prevents the camera from advancing, we document that limitation and recommend appropriate follow-up with a qualified plumber.

A camera shows visible internal conditions in the sections it can reach. It cannot see through standing water or heavy buildup, inspect the outside of the buried pipe, prove that the whole line is leak-free, or guarantee its remaining service life. It is not a pressure test or a full inspection of every branch drain.
