Calgary Home Red Flags Checker
Every Calgary neighbourhood has its patterns. Enter an address — and the year built if you know it — and we'll show you the issues homes of that age and area commonly have: Poly B plumbing, aluminum wiring, cast iron sewer lines, and more.
How this tool works
Calgary grew in waves, and each wave brought its own building materials and methods. Pre-1950 inner-city homes often have knob-and-tube wiring and cast iron drains; 1960s–70s suburbs introduced aluminum wiring; 1978–1997 builds widely used Poly B plumbing. We look up the neighbourhood for your address, combine it with the year built, and match it against the issues our inspectors actually find in homes of that era. It's a starting point — not a substitute for an inspection.
